As an atheist myself, I have to say that I find it disappointing that Atheism has devolved into circulating the same type of colorful propaganda as religious fanatics. Atheism is about questioning the ideals that one is spoon-fed, and making decisions based on thought rather than trend, logic rather than aesthetic appeal.
When a school of thought boils down to nothing more than a catchy slogan, and a witty remark, it's time to once more question what a community has molded its main concept into.
Should we not be provoking thought, rather than contributing to the piles of empty media that hope to sway the general opinion about something by appealing to aspects which have nothing to do with the actual reality of the topic?
Atheism only means to not believe in gods. It doesn't mean all other good things in the world. And it's not a school of thought.
In any case, I didn't make this picture to convince anyone of atheism. This type of propaganda is too blunt to work today, so you need not worry. Still, I happen to like propaganda as an art form, and thought that Marx' quote would make a nice propaganda poster.

Isn't this what the atheist mass-murderers of the 20th century believed? Meaningly, that "religion is the opium of the people"?
